CSAL Season Details

If your child is in grade 4-6, they have an opportunity to be on a Basketball or Volleyball team for Hanalani. We participate in the Christian School Athletic League (CSAL).

The CSAL provides elementary students with the opportunity to begin to learn and develop fundamental skills of basketball and volleyball. The CSAL aims to foster an appreciation for team sports and sportsmanship while emphasizing participation and the total development of the elementary students through athletic competition.

Our goal is to give everyone who wants to play, the ability to be on a team. To that end, we have a team selection period where if we have enough players to make multiple teams, we will group players by ability and/or age. During team selection, please attend all days or notify the coach if you need to miss a day.

Practices: Monday – Thursday, 3:00-4:30pm in Sprung or Park

Our staff will pick up the athletes at 2:45pm, give them an opportunity to change/ eat a snack, and then bring them to their practice location. Practice locations may vary depending on gym avaiability. Parents will be notified if there is a change.

Game days: Monday – Thursday, in the SAC Sprung or at another school location

Games are usually around 4:00pm and last about an hour. For away games, we provide a bus for the athletes that leaves school and returns after the game has concluded. You may pick your child up at the game site or back at Hanalani. Coaches are required to wait with your child(ren) until they are picked up so please pick up your child(ren) promptly.
